CampusFlow

A time-aware schedule assistant for university students

2 min read202 wordsUpdated Oct 2026v1.0.0 · Android beta

An offline-first Android app that turns a static timetable into one live answer: what is happening now, and where to go next. Countdowns, room-aware transitions, schedule exceptions, LLM-assisted import and a home-screen widget. Ships as CampusFlow by Stayza.

Overview

CampusFlow answers one question a timetable never does: "What am I supposed to do right now, and where do I go next?" The core interaction is Open, Glance, Know, Go.

Problem

Timetables are static grids. A student at 10:56 AM does not need the whole week; they need the next class, the room, and how long until they should leave. Calendar apps get part of the way there but cannot represent free periods, room-to-room transitions or one-off exceptions without clutter.

Implementation

Built with Expo and React Native in TypeScript. Schedules live in local SQLite so the app works fully offline, with optional Supabase sync. A schedule engine derives NOW/NEXT states and countdowns from the clock instead of storing them, and a native Android widget shows the next class on the home screen.

Getting a timetable in is the usual churn point, so CampusFlow ships an LLM-assisted import: run the provided prompt against a photo of your timetable in any chat app and paste the JSON back.
